Colchester United winger Kyreece Lisbie is reportedly linked with League One sides Oxford United and another club, following a successful season with the U's. Lisbie, who scored 11 goals and registered eight assists across all competitions for the U's this season, is said to be a target for the two clubs. The 22-year-old has a year remaining on his current U's deal and racked up his last assist of the season when he set up Harry Anderson for his goal in Colchester's 4-1 win at Cheltenham Town, in their final game of the League Two season. Lisbie's future at Colchester may well be influenced by today's news that talks over a proposed takeover led by former Chelsea and England captain John Terry have ended without agreement. It means that the U's will look to buy and sell this summer from a budget set by owner and chairman Robbie Cowling, rather than any new investors. The U's rejected bids in the January transfer window for Lisbie, who has been in fine form this season. Oxford United, managed by former U's boss Matt Bloomfield, are reportedly vying for Lisbie's signature, along with another League One club. Reading FC and Peterborough United are out of the race to sign him, if Colchester decide to sell their Young Player of the Year.
