Colchester United complete signing of Paul Digby from Dundee
Colchester United have strengthened their midfield with the signing of experienced player Paul Digby from Scottish Premiership side Dundee. The 31-year-old midfielder, who can play in both defensive and central midfield, joins the U’s as their third summer signing ahead of the new season. Digby was released from his contract at Dundee by mutual agreement and has now signed for Colchester, who finished 12th in England League Two last season with 66 points, 18 wins, 12 draws, and 16 losses from 46 games.
Who is Paul Digby?
Paul Digby, a former England under-20 international, has made more than 350 appearances in his competitive career. He began his career at Barnsley, making his Championship debut at just 16 years old. Digby joined Ipswich Town in 2016, initially on loan before making the move permanent. He has also played for Mansfield Town, Forest Green Rovers, Stevenage, and Cambridge United, where he helped them win promotion to League One in 2021. Digby joined Dundee last summer on a two-year deal but made his last appearance for the Dark Blues in the opening days of 2026.
